About Me
Brian Bosch: I founded Endolyne Technology Services in 2009 after a long career in software and IT services. I have more than two decades of experience with a wide variety of computer systems, networks, software and managed services. I was involved in the Internet and Internet software since it's earliest commercial beginnings.
Broad range of experience: I am originally from Calgary, Alberta where I was trained in aircraft electronics (avionics). This included flight computers, aircraft communication and navigation systems and autopilot systems; I worked as an avionics technician for several years which occasionally took me far up to the Arctic North. I later became involved in the development of bomb computers for fire fighting aircraft and in airborne multi-spectral and infrared terrestrial scanning. I was involved in infrared forest fire mapping, phytoplankton scanning related to global warming research, and scanning biomass combustion for studies relating to the effects of nuclear winter. This work was conducted all over North America and also included extended assignments in France and Australia.
Deep technical knowledge: In the mid-1990's I came to supervise the technical support operation of Seattle-based Internet software start-up company, Spry, Inc., makers of Internet in a Box and Internet Office. In addition to managing the explosive growth synonymous with that era, my responsibilities included teaching software-specific courses as well as HTML and the basics of TCP/IP — the fundamental protocols upon which the Internet is built. These courses were conducted throughout North America as well as in Germany, UK, Japan and Vietnam, both with and without interpreters.
Relationship builder: In the late 1990's I moved to the Midwest to work with Columbus, Ohio-based CompuServe Network Services and then UUNet. From there I conducted business directly in more than 30 countries, including many developing nations, on every continent (except Antarctica). This primarily involved negotiating technical interconnect and resale agreements and managing relationships with local Internet Service Providers (ISPs) and other private network operators. My time here allowed me to gain a detailed understanding of networking systems, devices, security, and protocols as well as learn the skills necessary to manage great working relationships.
End-user focused: I came to live in the Washington, DC area and manage secure corporate remote access products for MCI and WorldCom early in the new millennium. These products included Internet and secure private network access for corporate customers from more than 150 countries worldwide. My role was to ensure ubiquitous, consistent, secure and reliable access with a relentless focus on providing the best possible end-user experience.
Service excellence: I was finally able to return to Seattle in 2002 and my role transitioned into product development of corporate managed network and security services for Verizon around 2006. These services were based upon the worldwide management of servers, routers and switches for many of the Fortune 500 and Forbes Global 2000 list of companies. Projects here included developing global support for managed network acceleration devices as well as support for the next generation of the IP protocol, IPv6.
I am a Microsoft Certified Professional and I'm CompTIA A+ and ITIL certified.
